Mr. Iyad Kheirbek, Programme Director, Air Quality in Climate Solutions and Networks
Iyad Kheirbek is the Director of the Air Quality Program at C40 Cities and is responsiblefor development and delivery of C40’s global air quality strategy, including overseeingC40’s air quality network, air quality technical assistance program, air quality and climate action planning research, and green ports initiative. Prior to joining C40, Iyad worked on air quality, climate, and public health issues with the City of New York, most recently serving as the Executive Director of the Air Quality Program at the New YorkCity Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. In that role, Iyad was responsible for leading air quality monitoring, modeling, research, and policy analysis activities to support development and implementation of New York City’s air quality and climate agendas. Prior to joining New York City government, Iyad worked as an environmental scientist for the non-profit NESCAUM, working with States in the Northeastern US in developing air quality and climate programs.
