Beijing Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau (BEE) will host the “2021 Beijing International Forum on Metropolitan Clean Air and Climate Actions” on September 6-7, 2021. With the focus on “Co-Benefits of Reducing Pollution and Carbon Emissions”, this forum will invite representatives and experts from international organizations, environmental authorities of international metropolises, as well as relevant research institutions and Chinese cities, to summarize and share the ambitions, targets, measures and progress of international metropolises in Carbon Neutral Strategies and Air Quality Goal. We hope this forum will serve as a platform of dialogue and exchange, as well as a catalyst for joint efforts and added value among our international partners and sister city colleagues.
The 2-day forum will consist of a plenary session and three parallel technical sessions. On the first day, the plenary session will focus on the theme of “Metropolitan Carbon Neutral Strategies and Air Quality Goal--Co-Benefits of Reducing Pollution and Carbon Emissions”. The three parallel sessions will focus on the following topics: (1)PM2.5 and Ozone Monitoring and forecast; (2)Carbon Neutral Strategies of International Metropolises-Low-Carbon Transformation of the Energy Sector; (3) Co-Control of PM2.5 and Ozone.
