Ms. Giulia Galluccio, Director of Euro-Mediterranean center on Climate Change Foundation (CMCC)
Giulia Galluccio got her PhD on Science and Management of Climate Change at Cà Foscari University of Venice with a thesis titled “The Role of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) in Scaling Up Financial Flows in the Post-Kyoto Regime” and she pursues at CMCC her research interest on climate finance and project financing mechanisms.
She is responsible of the Scientific Coordination of Research Divisions at the Euro-Mediterranean Center for Climate Change (CMCC) supporting the efficient and effective implementation of planned research activities of the Center. She is, since 2007, Head of the CMCC Fund Raising office building strong cooperation among CMCC Partners and researchers and facilitating research proposals preparation in a number of climate change research field. She coordinates and participates in various national and international research projects on issues related to the policies of mitigation and adaptation to climate change and climate finance.
Giulia Galluccio is the Italian contact point for the LCS-R Net, the International Research Network for Low Carbon Societies, a platform of researchers/research organisations supporting and encouraging information sharing and voluntary cooperation among research institutions specifically in the field of LCS research.
She is the author and coordinator of the National Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change.
