Ms. LIUXinping, Chief of Sustainable Development Division, Department of Overall Planning, Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games
Graduated from Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 1988 with a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, and obtained a Master’s degree in environmental engineering from Beijing University of Technology in 2004, currently working as a Senior Engineer. Liu has nearly 30 years of work experience in process technology and environmental protection in large chemical companies, and successively engaged in environmental supervision, environmental management, environmental review and approval in Beijing Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, has accumulated experience in grassroots enterprise environmental management and government management of environmental protection work.
In July 2016, Liu started to serve as the Director of the Sustainable Development Division of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, engaged in in-depth research on the “Olympic 2020 Agenda”, “Sustainability Guidelines”, “New Codes for Olympic Games” and “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”. Liu is familiar with the IOC’s sustainability requirements for large-scale Olympic events, and carried out some work practices in the aspects of sustainable procurement, low-carbon management, sustainability management systems, and venues ecological environment protection for the Winter Olympics, and contributed to the innovative and sustainable management ideas of the Olympic Games which have been fully recognized by the International Olympic Committee for many times.
