Ms. Gloria Zavatta, Sustainability & Legacy Director, Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026.
Gloria has been President/CEO of AMAT, the Agenzia Mobilità Ambiente e Territorio, “in house company” of the Municipality of Milan, since 2017 until 2021. She is currently a Member of the Board of Directors of AMAT, and also President of the CESVI Foundation.
She was the Sustainability Manager within Expo 2015 SpA, the company in charge of organizing, running and dismantling the Universal Exposition, the so called Expo Milano 2015, since 2009. From October 2009 to January 2012 she was also responsible for the Agro-food Area in the Theme Development and Institutional Relations Department and Partnership Developer.
From 1995 to 2009 she worked for ERM – Environmental Resource Management (a leading global provider of environmental, health, safety, risk, and social consulting services) developing consultancy experience in a wide range of projects for several Italian and international organisations. Among significant project the implementation of the environmental management system, certified according to ISO14001 and EMAS Regulation, of the Olympic Winter Games of Turin 2006.
From 1988 to 1994 she worked for Lombardia Risorse S.p.A. (consultancy company owned by Regione Lombardia) in Milan carrying out territorial planning activities, environmental analysis of industrial plants, planning for differentiated waste collection and projects for the implementation of clean technologies.
