Mr. Ravi Ramalingam, Chief of Consumer Products and Air Quality Assessment Branch, California Air Resources Board
Ravi Ramalingam is the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB)Chief of the Consumer Products and Air Quality AssessmentBranch. His branch leads development of California’s consumerproduct regulations. The most recent of these regulatoryamendments was adopted in March 2021. That rulemaking setmore stringent emission standards for several types of consumerproducts, including personal care products such as hair spray anddry shampoo. Prior to his current position, Mr. Ramalingammanaged several groups that developed ozone attainment plans tomeet U.S. Federal Clean Air Act requirements. He joined CARBover 30years ago in the Compliance Division. Mr. Ramalingamreceived a B.S. degree inMechanical Engineering from theUniversity of California, Davis.
