Karine LEGER (CEO of Airparif)
Karine Léger is director of Airparif, the air quality monitoring network of Paris Region.
Karine has both a technical and a management background, linked with environmental issues (Executive master in management at Science Po, Advanced Msc. in environmental management and engineering at Ecole des Mines, Eng. in agriculture at ISARA, BSc in Biology).
Karine has 20 years of expertise in air pollution, related with communication, partnerships, innovation and international projects, first started to work at Airparif as an engineer, and then as the head of the communication and international department. Karine was then in charge of the partnerships and innovation before taking the lead of Airparif in 2018, also in charge of forecasting and assisting the authorities in case of pollution episode. Karine takes part in regional, national and European working groups on air quality, public information and communication strategy, develops and contributes to the management and development of different international projects mainly with Airparif’s counterparts abroad, such as the Beijing environmental monitoring center, the AQCC of Teheran or the municipality of Hanoi.
