　　The “Beijing International Forum for Metropolitan Clean Air and Climate Actions” is a large-scale international forum organized by Beijing Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau. The Forum has been  invited to join the CIFTIS (China International Fair for Trade in Services) platform and registered as a parallel event of the United Nations “International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies” since 2020, and has received continuous support from international organizations such as the United Nations Environment Programme, ICLEI and C40, which has established an international platform for the exchange of experience on promoting clean air and climate actions in major cities. This Forum is also a window for the the international community to know the ecological actions and progress of Beijing.

　　With the theme of “Pollution and Carbon Reduction-Regional Coordination”, this year’s forum will focus on the integration of digital and smart solutions with the reduction of pollution and carbon emissions from both domestic and abroad, with a foothold in the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region (Beijing is the rotating lead for the Region’s this year). The aim is to build an international exchange platform, share the technological needs, new explorations and practical achievements of international metropolises in using digital means to support in-depth governance of air pollution and the effective implementation of climate actions, and enhance the synergy in addressing environmental challenges.

　　The 2-day forum will compose of a Plenary Session (1 full day) on “Pollution and Carbon Reduction - Regional Coordination”, two parallel technical sessions (each half day) on “Joint Regional Efforts for Clean Air” (Technical Session 1) and “Carbon Trading Motivates Reduction and Public Participation” (Technical Session 2).
